As a large and fast-moving retail business, M&S were undertaking hundreds of POS design projects each year. However, there was a lack of accurate data on the types of projects, their scale, or their cost. As a result, they couldn’t accurately forecast for the year ahead.
We collaborated with Tata Consultancy Services – a leading global IT, consulting, and business solutions specialist – on internal business analysis, to thoroughly investigate and understand the current situation. We then carried out project analysis across a full year’s data to determine the size of the POS projects against time taken and cost to the business.
